Baimai Spring Complex also known as White Horse Spring is a magnificent natural spring system located about 20 kilometers west of Jinans city center The spring gets its name from an ancient legend about a white horse that discovered the spring water The complex features multiple spring pools with water so clear you can see to the bottom where bubbles continuously rise like strings of pearls The water maintains a constant temperature around 18 degrees Celsius throughout the year making it refreshing in summer and warm in winter The spring water flows into the nearby Xiaoqing River creating a picturesque landscape of bridges pavilions and ancient trees The surrounding area features traditional Chinese architecture including the Baimai Temple which dates back to the Ming Dynasty The spring complex represents the perfect harmony between natural beauty and human cultivation that characterizes Jinans famous spring culture
