Symbol of Jinan as Spring City

Baotu Spring Park is the most famous spring in Jinan known as the Spring City of China. Located in the heart of Jinan, it is one of the three major scenic spots in the city along with Daming Lake and Thousand Buddha Mountain. The park covers an area of 158 acres and features more than 30 famous springs including Baotu Spring, the most spectacular of them all. Baotu Spring has been celebrated for over 2,600 years with historical records dating back to the Spring and Autumn Period. The spring water gushes out from three main outlets with tremendous force, creating a magnificent spectacle that has inspired poets and emperors throughout Chinese history. The water temperature remains constant at around 18°C (64°F) throughout the year, never freezing in winter nor drying up in summer. The park combines natural beauty with cultural heritage, featuring traditional Chinese gardens, pavilions, bridges, and historical buildings that reflect the rich cultural history of Shandong Province.
