About Oriental Pearl Tower
The Oriental Pearl Tower, completed in 1994, is one of Shanghai's most recognizable landmarks. Its eleven spheres of varying sizes echo a Tang Dynasty poem about a great dragon playing with pearls. The main observation deck at 263 meters offers sweeping views over the Bund, while the Space Module at 351 meters provides an even higher vantage point. The tower base also houses the Shanghai Municipal History Museum.
