About Shanghai Museum of Glass

Shanghai Museum of Glass opened in 2011 in the converted glass factories of the Baoshan industrial district. Its permanent galleries trace glass from ancient Egypt to modern art and technology, with a beautiful 'Glass Sculpture Garden' and live demonstration studios. Visitors can try simple glass craft activities, and the museum's cafes and shops use glass tables and displays. The striking glass façade lights up after dark.
