About Shanghai Zoo
Shanghai Zoo opened in 1954 on a site that began as a golf course in 1900. It keeps more than 400 species, including giant pandas, South China tigers, and golden snub-nosed monkeys. Wide lawns, lakes, and tree-lined paths make it a pleasant green escape within the city. The zoo is easily reached by Metro Line 10.
